Abstract
This study examines the influence of cultural diversity, resource limitations, leadership development, and organizational politics on leadership styles in the construction industry in Abuja, Nigeria. Through a survey of 150 respondents randomly selected from construction firms, this research investigates the impact of various factors on leadership approaches. The findings highlight the crucial connections between each factor and leadership styles, underscoring the importance of leaders adjusting their strategies based on these variables. Theoretical implications are examined by considering the Contingency Theory, which emphasizes the significance of adapting leadership approaches to match situational factors. This implies that successful leadership in this particular situation necessitates adaptability in handling various cultural backgrounds, limited resources, continuous development requirements, and organizational dynamics. The study emphasizes the importance of utilizing adaptive leadership strategies to navigate the complexities of the construction industry effectively. It also suggests that further research should be conducted to delve deeper into these dynamics in order to improve leadership practices in different sectors.
