Assessing the Impact of ICT Integration on Learning Outcomes in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
Abstract
This study examines the impact of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) integration on learning outcomes in Nigerian tertiary institutions. Using a cross-sectional survey design, data were collected from 300 students and 50 lecturers across three public institutions in Delta State, Nigeria. The study examined the relationship between ICT usage frequency, digital infrastructure availability, and academic performance. Results showed a positive correlation between ICT accessibility and student performance, but barriers such as unstable power supply, insufficient ICT training, and limited institutional support remain significant. Recommendations include policy-driven infrastructure investment and regular training for both staff and students.
