Design and Implementation of a Solar-Powered Refrigerator with Automated Doors Controlled by an Android Application Using Arduino Mega2560 and Bluetooth Module
Abstract
The design and construction of a solar-powered refrigerator with automated doors managed by an Android application utilizing an Arduino Mega2560 and a Bluetooth module constitute the focus of this research study. This was achieved by using a 12V DC 3000 rpm compressor, which does not require an inverter because it runs straight off of a 12V 180Ah battery that is charged by a solar 12V PV panel. The system consists of an Arduino Mega2560 Pro board, three 12V DC 92 RPM motors for the movement of the refrigerator doors and internal tray, MPU6050 temperature sensors, a 16x2 LCD display unit, an HC-06 Bluetooth module, an Android application created using MIT App-inventor, and a high current motor driver. Access to the refrigerator is limited because the system can only be accessed via the Android application. This document also includes an examination and evaluation of the features of the system that was created. The designed system improves user experience and is easy to use.
