Abstract

Moral decadence is an enduring social problem across many modern societies, often expressed in corruption, violence, sexual immorality, substance abuse, and the breakdown of communal solidarity. Scholars and faith leaders have consistently argued that secular policies alone cannot reverse this trend without moral grounding. This paper examines the relevance of biblical teaching on morality as a resource for rebuilding ethical foundations. Drawing on scriptural principles, historical precedents, and contemporary applications, the study argues that repositioning biblical morality within families, schools, and governance can contribute to reshaping conscience, strengthening community values, and curbing moral decline. Recommendations are provided for integrating biblical ethical frameworks into education, public discourse, and civic leadership as a corrective to societal ills.
