Appropriate Entrepreneurial Technology usage and Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Performance in Odeda Local Government Area, Ogun State, Nigeria
Abstract
The study examined appropriate entrepreneurial technology usage and small and medium scale enterprises performance in Odeda local government area of Ogun State, Nigeria. The specific objects are to: determine effect of product innovation on SMEs profitability, examine extent to which process innovation affect, market leadership and analyze the effect of marketing innovation on customer satisfaction. The method adopted for the research was a probability sampling technique as far as data collection was concerned. This was administered on one hundred and seven (107) respondents. The result from the model summary table revealed the extent to which the variance in SMEs profitability can be explained by technological product innovation is 10.5% i.e. (R Square =0.105). The ANOVA table shows the F-values statistics 12.283 at 0.001, significance level. Therefore for every 100% change increase in SMEs profitability, technological product innovation contributed 35.6%. The decision for the above result however implies technological product innovation have significant effects on SMEs profitability, Since our P value (0.001) is less than 0.05,then, the decision would be to reject null hypothesis (Ho1) and accept the alternative hypothesis (H1). To this end, it is true to assert that technological product innovation have significant effects on SMEs profitability.
