The present social, economic and political problems in Nigeria that presents itself through unemployment, corruption, political and electioneering conflicts, ethno-religious crises, cultism, the rippling effects of natural disasters, terrorism, armed bandits, adoption of wealthy individuals and famine that combine to create unwholesome life for the teaming masses of the country. As such, it is imminent to find a lasting solution to the emerging social, economic and political woes of the country. It is therefore recommended that education using the right curriculum appropriately applied is the best solution to the emerging multi-faceted problems. The essence of which was to produce morally sound and law-abiding individuals.  Traditional education among others fixed each individual well to his/her society. It as well set aside mechanisms through which disputes and other anti-social vices as well as acts that were observed to be inimical to the development of the society were put under check. Peace and progress of each society at the family, village and town levels were guaranteed. The total neglect of some of these vital aspects of our traditional practices especially traditional education with its functionality and the setting aside of some of the mechanism set in motion for peaceful living and meaningful development of each society explain the present state of affairs. Therefore, the answer to correcting these mirage of society ills can be best approach by introducing functional education and peaceful living among the multi – ethnic, multi – lingual and multi – religious groups in Nigeria.
